July 30, 2010

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest Athletic Department will conduct its annual Fan Fest on Saturday, August 14 at BB&T Field. Fans will be allowed on the field beginning at 5 p.m.

Fan Fest is the best opportunity for fans to meet the coaches and players from Wake Forest's fall sports teams. The 2010 Wake Forest football, field hockey, volleyball, cross country, and men's and women's soccer teams will be available for autographs and pictures.

In addition to the chance to meet with coaches and players, there will be many interactive opportunities for fans of all ages, highlighted by the third annual Deacon Skills Challenge.

The Deacon Skills Challenge will give young fans ages 5-12 the opportunity to participate in interactive drills with Wake Forest student-athletes. All children completing the challenge will receive their choice of two complimentary tickets to a men's or women's soccer game. One lucky winner will earn the title of 2010 Deacon Skills Champion and receive four complimentary tickets to the Wake Forest vs. Presbyterian football game.

Other Fan Fest activities will include food and drinks, inflatable games, live music from Michael Alvarado, face painting and special appearances by the Demon Deacon and Wake Forest cheerleaders.

Fan Fest will also feature Select-A-Seat, which allows fans to reserve their season tickets for the 2010 football season. Some of the best remaining seats at BB&T Field will be available for purchase and ticketing representatives will be on hand to assist fans and answer questions.

Fan Fest admission and parking is free of charge. Fans will enter BB&T Field through the field level gate located between Deacon Tower and Bridger Field House. For more information, contact the Wake Forest sports marketing department at (336) 758-5011.
