Fan Fest Set for August 18 at BB&T Field
The Demon Deacon will be on hand at Fan Fest this Saturday evening.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest Athletic Department will conduct its annual Fan Fest on Saturday, Aug. 18, at BB&T Field. Fans will be allowed on the field beginning at 5 p.m. and teams will arrive at 6 p.m.

Fan Fest is the best opportunity for fans to meet the coaches and players from Wake Forest's fall sports teams. The 2012 Wake Forest football, volleyball teams and Wake Forest cheerleaders will be available for autographs and pictures.

In addition to the chance to meet with coaches and players, there will be many interactive opportunities for fans of all ages.

Other Fan Fest activities will include food and drinks, inflatable games, face painting and special appearances by the Demon Deacon.

Wake Forest will also host its first-ever cornhole tournament at Fan Fest! We will have 16 teams of two players with a double elimination bracket. Tournament schedule will be disseminated the day of the tournament with a blind draw with first round matches starting at 3 p.m. The final four teams will play at the start of Fan Fest at BB&T Field! First place prize is a Wake Forest cornhole set, a framed and autographed panoramic picture of BB&T Field and four tickets to the Wake Forest vs. Clemson football game on October 25. Second place prize is a set of custom Wake Forest cornhole bags and four tickets to the Wake Forest vs. Clemson football game on October 25. All participants will receive a Wake Forest hat. Entries are based on a first come first serve basis and cost to participate is $20 per team. Fan Fest will also feature Select-A-Seat, which allows fans to reserve their season tickets for the 2012 football season. Some of the best remaining seats at BB&T Field will be available for purchase and ticket representatives will be on hand to assist fans and answer questions.
