WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Eleven endowed scholarships reached the $100,000 threshold needed to be awarded for the first time during the past academic year. The first student-athletes to be awarded the scholarships will receive them for 2014-15. The endowment focus of the Wake Will campaign is an investment in the future of Wake Forest Athletics. A minimum pledge of $100,000 is required to establish an endowed fund, and once the value of the fund reaches $100,000, the scholarship is awarded to a Wake Forest student-athlete.

In total, 16 endowed funds were established during the 2013-2014 fiscal year. With five of those funds already reaching a value of $100,000 and six previously committed endowments reaching the required threshold, a total of eleven scholarships will be awarded in the fall of 2014. This is an incredible accomplishment and represents a new record for scholarships established and awarded.
