Deacon Tower Grille Now Open For Dinner

Just in time to take a break from hectic pace of the holidays, Deacon Tower Grille is now open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings for relaxed dining in an upscale setting. Deacon Tower Grille's new evening menu features a fresh approach to Southern Regional Cuisine with an emphasis on local products and ingredients.

The evening menu entrees includes angus filet, shrimp & grits, lamb loin chops, pork tenderloin, grouper, angus chopped steak, grilled salmon, prime rib, Cajun catfish, rosemary chicken, scallops and duck. Deacon Tower Grille also offers a variety of appetizers, soups, salad and pizza for under $10. Evening desserts include banana pudding with a homemade custard base, key lime pie and bread pudding featuring seasonal fruits topped with Blue Ridge vanilla ice cream.

"Our lunch business has steadily grown since we opened last winter, and we've had many requests to open at night. We're glad to be able to expand our hours and hope both our loyal customers and new ones will enjoy dining with us during evenings," Jack Welker, manager of Deacon Tower Grille said. "We believe people in the Winston-Salem area will embrace our regional approach to food. Right now, we're offering flounder from Virginia and scallops from the North Carolina coast. Everything tastes better when it's fresh and local."

Conveniently located at 475 Deacon Boulevard on the fourth floor of Deacon Tower at BB&T Field, Deacon Tower Grille is open evenings 5:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for lunch Mondays through Fridays. Deacon Tower Grille is a joint venture between the Wake Forest Athletics Department and Catered Affairs, the exclusive caterer for Deacon Tower.

In addition to being open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday every week, Deacon Tower Grille is open evenings for dinner for special occasions, such during ACC sports tournaments, and offers quarterly wine-tasting dinners. Deacon Tower Grille has a full-service bar with all ABC permits and offers private rooms available for catered luncheons, dinners, receptions and other special events.
