Pat Abbott is in his fifth season as the Assistant Director of Equipment Services in 2012-13, working with the Demon Deacon baseball program at the Wake Forest Baseball Park, as well as the men's and women's golf programs.

Abbott is a certified member of the Athletic Equipment Managers Associations (AEMA) since 1995.

A Pfafftown, N.C. native, Abbott earned a degree in Sport Management from Western Carolina University in 1993.

Prior to arriving at Wake Forest in August 2008, Abbott worked for four years as the Assistant Equipment Director at the University of Connecticut for the men's and women's basketball teams.

From 2000-04, he was at Northwestern University as Assistant Equipment Manager for the football, men's basketball and golf teams. Prior to that, from 1997-2000, Abbott was the Baseball Equipment Director at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
