Assistant AD, Student-Athlete Development

Ashley Wechter is in her fourth season at Wake Forest in 2016-17, and her first as the Assistant Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Development. She previously spent three years serving as the Assistant Director of Student-Athlete Development.

In her current role, Wechter administers opportunities for student-athlete development, including leadership, career development and community engagement. She also leads and guides the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

Wechter is from Cambridge, Ohio and graduated from Wake Forest in 2006 with a bachelor of science in health and exercise science. During her time at Wake Forest, she ran track & field and cross country.

Prior to joining Wake Forest, Wechter worked with the NCAA in Indianapolis for four years as the Coordinator of Championships Community Programs and Youth Clinics. During her time at the NCAA, she served as Coordinator for 11 different national championships.

Wechter currently resides in Winston-Salem with her husband, Austin.
