Assistant Director, Development

Christopher Gray joined the Demon Deacons in 2016 and is serving as an assistant director of development working with the annual fund team.

Gray focuses on qualification, cultivation, and solicitation of prospects. He has also been involved with identifying major gift prospects, young alumni engagement, and assisting in specific athletic capital campaigns.

Gray joined the Wake Forest staff full-time after completing a year internship with the Deacon Club. Prior to Wake Forest, he held student assistant positions at Stony Brook University and UMass-Amherst. At Stony Brook University, he provided administrative support to the senior associate athletic director of business operations. While completing his master's degree at UMass-Amherst, he assisted the Minutemen Club with gameday development operations and researched new annual fund initiatives for the assistant athletic director for annual giving. Along with his two student assistant positions, he spent a summer at UNC-Chapel Hill where he supported the daily operations of the athletic business operations and assisted in compiling a financial analysis of competitive athletic programs to provide comparative data to the athletic director for strategic planning.

Originally from Stony Brook, N.Y., Chris graduated from Stony Brook University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and received his Master in sport management from UMass-Amherst in 2015. As an undergrad, he was a member of the club rugby team.
