Dan Wallace enters his first year at Wake Forest as an Assistant Director of Athletic Communications in 2016-17. Wallace is the primary media contact for the women's basketball, men's tennis and women's tennis teams, while also serving as the secondary football.

Wallace came to Wake Forest from Western Illinois University, where he worked as a Graduate Assistant for Athletic Communications for two years. During his time, Wallace served as the primary contact for the women's basketball, volleyball, men's soccer, men's and women's tennis, and men's and women's track and field teams, while assisting with the coverage of football and men's basketball.

Prior to joining the staff at Western Illinois, Wallace spent five years at the University of Iowa. During his four years of undergrad, Wallace worked for Big Ten Network's `Student U Productions' as a play-by-play and color commentator for a majority of Iowa's Olympic sports. During his senior year, Wallace also began working in the athletic communications office as a student worker, and spent a year following graduation as the full-time intern within the office.

The native of Clarendon Hills, Ill., earned a master's degree from Western Illinois in 2016 and a bachelor's degree from Iowa in 2013. Wallace's master's degree is in sport management and he earned a double major in communication studies and sports studies from Iowa.

Wallace currently resides in Winston-Salem.
