Paul Kennedy is entering his 13th year as a member of the Wake Forest University family in 2012-13 as the Assistant Athletic Director for Development. His primary responsibilities are athletic development and fundraising for the athletic department including all Capital Projects and the Deacon Club Annual Scholarship Fund.

A native of Statesville, N.C., Kennedy graduated from Wake Forest University with a degree in Economics in 1982. Following graduation, he spent 11 years with BellSouth Corporation in Raleigh, N.C. and three years with Quality Oil Company in Winston-Salem.

In 1999, Kennedy returned to Wake Forest as a Wake Forest Major Gift Officer before serving two years as the Director of the College Fund from 2000-02.

Kennedy currently resides in Winston-Salem with his wife of 18 years, Shelly, and their two children, Andrew (16) and Brooks (11).
