Wake Forest to Host Sports Turf Management Expo

Day-long session on Oct. 10 will feature tours and demonstrations of equipment

Abby McNeal is in her third season with Wake Forest Athletics in 2012-13 as the Director of Turf Management.

McNeal holds a B.S. in Landscape Horticulture with an emphasis in Turfgrass Management from Colorado State University. She is a two-time recipient of the Rocky Mountain Regional Turfgrass Association Professional of the Year Award and received the STMA 2005 Professional Soccer and Football Fields of the Year awards.

Her sports turf management experience includes Turf Manager at the Colorado School of Mines, opening Toyota Park Stadium as Director of Turf Management and serving as the Assistant Turfgrass Manager for INVESCO Field at Mile High in Denver.

Previously she was the Athletic Turfgrass Manager at the University of Colorado.
