Louis Thompson is in his fourth season at Wake Forest in 2012-13, serving as Coordinator of Sports Performance. Thompson works primarily with the Demon Deacon men's and women's cross country, men's tennis and men's soccer programs and also assists with the Wake Forest football program.
A native of Winston-Salem, Thompson is a 2007 graduate of North Carolina A&T State University, where he earned bachelor's degrees in exercise science and business administration in 2007.
Prior to coming to Wake Forest, Thompson served as a fitness director for the U.S. Navy and as an assistant strength coach at North Carolina A&T. Thompson was intern with the Wake Forest strength staff in 2006 and also served as an assistant strength coach at West Montgomery (N.C.) High School.
Thompson is certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCS) and United States Weightlifting (USAW).
