Wake Forest Opens 2017 at Bull City Classic

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Wake Forest men’s and women’s cross country programs will open the 2017 season this Friday (Sept. 1) at the Bull City Classic in Durham, North Carolina.

The meet, which is hosted by Duke, will start in the Morris Williams Track & Field Stadium and run through the Al Buehler trail. The meet feature the Demon Deacons, Blue Devils and the NC Central Eagles.

The women kick off the event in the 4K at 5:30 p.m. followed by the men in the 6K at 6 p.m.

Thirteen Demon Deacons will compete in total, including seven on the men’s side and six on the women’s. Freshman Kristen Haynes, sophomores Robbie Barr and Nick Beglane and senior John Archie will be making their cross country debuts at the meet.

Up next, the Demon Deacons will compete in the Adidas Cross Country Challenge on Sept. 15 in Cary, N.C.
