WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Wake Forest men’s and women’s cross country team will be in action Friday, Sept. 15 at the Adidas XC Challenge, held at the WakeMed Soccer Park Cross Country Park in Cary, North Carolina.

The men will compete in the 6K at 6:10 p.m. and the women will compete in the 5k at 6:35 p.m. Eleven student-athletes will represent the Deacs on the men’s side while 10 will compete on the women’s.

The squads will compete in the “White” division, which is dedicated to DI schools. The Deacs will be competing alongside thirteen other schools, including Duke and NC State.

The program opened the 2017 season last week at the Bull City Classic, hosted by Duke. After a lengthy rain delay, the meet was held on the track and both the men and women finished second.

After this weekend, the Deacs will head north for the Paul Short Run, which is hosted by Lehigh. The meet will take place on Friday, Sept. 29.
