2001: Junior Season

A third team All-American ... was named MVP of the ACC Tournament after pitching 8.1 scoreless innings over four appearances with a 1-0 record and two saves ... finished second nationally in saves with 16 ... was spectacular in the postseason with a 1-0 record, three saves, 1.12 ERA and 16 strikeouts in 16 innings ... allowed just two home runs in 296 plate appearances ... struck out the side six times in 74.2 innings ... led the ACC in strikeouts per nine innings (10.37 per 9 IP) ... surpassed his own single season school record for appearances (41) ... enjoyed a streak of 10.1 scoreless innings in six appearances from April 20-28 ... did not allow a run in 4.2 innings with just two hits in two games vs. Virginia ... fanned six Seminole batters in 4.1 innings on March 30 ... became WFU?s all-time leader in appearances when he pitched 4.2 innings against Clemson on March 23 ... earned wins in relief against ECU and Duke ... struck out a career-high eight batters in three innings against UNO.

2000: Sophomore Season

Most often called upon in the closer's role ... finished third among ACC pitchers with seven saves ... finished the season with a 2-3 record and a 3.36 ERA ... took the hill 36 times, the most of any Deacon pitcher ... struck out 64 batters in 61.2 innings ... owned a nearly 3:1 strikeout-to-walk ratio ... rang up at least two batters in 14 of his 36 appearances ... recorded saves in three straight games in April, against North Carolina twice and UNC Greensboro.

1999: Freshman Season

Caught the final out in the ninth inning in the ACC Championship game as Wake Forest defeated Clemson ... a regular out of the bullpen, he made 25 appearances and tossed 40 innings, finishing with a respectable 5.85 ERA ... saved his best pitching of the season for the ACC Tournament, and was named to the ACC All-Tournament Team after tossing 6.1 nearly flawless innings out of the bullpen ... allowed just one hit while retiring 19 of 20 batters faced in two appearances ... earned his first career win by tossing 6.1 shutout innings in the ACC Championship game against Clemson ... made two appearances during the NCAA Sub-Regional, allowing three runs on five hits in 8.2 innings of work (3.12 ERA) ... owned a 1.65 ERA in five of his last six appearances last season (16.1 IP, 6 H, 3 ER, 3 BB, 14 K) ... earned his first career save by getting the final two outs to preserve WFU?s 9-7 win over No. 3 UNC on March 19 ... allowed just three hits in his first seven appearances while not yielding an earned run (8.0 IP) ... recorded three strikeouts in 1.1 IP in his final regular season appearance at Maryland on May 15 ... made his lone appearance in the field on March 24 against East Tennessee St., catching the final five innings of the game.

Conestoga High School
