In 2006... Went 4-3 with a 4.96 ERA... had one start, a loss against UNC-Charlotte on Feb. 12... third on the team in strikeouts with 52... his 32 appearances were second on the team... earned wins at Coastal Carolina (March 7), North Carolina (March 10), at Duke (April 14) and Maryland (April 22).

In 2005... Led the pitching staff in starts (14), wins (6) and innings pitched (86.1)... went 6-4 with a 6.15 earned run average... went 3-3 in the ACC and made 10 starts... ranked second on the staff with 52 strikeouts... tossed at least 6.0 innings in nine of his 14 starts and worked into the seventh inning five times... season's best outing might have been matchup with North Carolina All-American Andrew Miller (March 25)... allowed just two earned runs over 7.0 innings and fanned seven... also threw 6.0 shutout innings in a victory over UNC Greensboro (April 27).

In 2004... Made 15 appearances for the Demon Deacons, including five starts... worked 38.2 innings and posted a record of 1-3 and 10.24 ERA... pitched 6.0 innings in first collegiate start and picked up the victory over Appalachian State on Feb. 24... again went 6.0 innings in start against Indiana State on March 14 and struck out a career-high seven.

Prior to Wake Forest... Named Mr. Baseball in the state of Kentucky... a two-time all-City selection in baseball... led team in ERA and strikeouts for two years... participated in Kentucky's East-West Junior All-Star Game... posted a 1.86 ERA with 108 strikeouts in 90.1 high school career innings... once believed to be the best high school quarterback in Kentucky.
