Members of the Demon Deacon baseball team recently wrapped up a successful summer campaign around the country.

Johnny Aiello hit two home runs, including a go-ahead grand slam, in a 10-3 win over Appalachian State.

Wake Forest hit five home runs in the victory over High Point, including three from Ben Breazeale and one apiece from Gavin Sheets and Johnny Aiello.


Wake Forest Completes Undefeated Weekend

The Deacs capped off their nine-game homestand with an 18-7 win over Radford behind grand slams from Bruce Steel and Zach Seal.

Wake Forest hit five doubles in an 11-run third inning, as the Deacs clinched the series, two games to one.

"Holden is another tall and lanky left-handed freshman arm. He throws from a low, three-quarters slot and features electric stuff. With two plus pitches and a steadily improving change-up, Holden should be a very good addition to our bullpen. His role will likely be as a left-handed specialist to start the year but as he gets more comfortable that role will expand to multiple innings."
