As a coach's son, he has an incredibly high baseball IQ. He knows when to walk, when to hit behind the runner and when to look for pitches to drive."

2017 (Sophomore)
Had a breakout campaign in his first regular action ... Finished the year with a .345 average, two homers, 16 doubles, 34 RBIs and 58 runs scored and six stolen bases in 62 appearances and 60 starts at second base ... The Deacs went 29-3 in Mueller's 32 multi-hit games ... He had a trio of four-hit games, including back-to-back efforts against Radford (March 5 - 4-for-6, 2B, RBI) and Coastal Carolina (March 8 - 4-for-5, two 2Bs, walk, four RBIs), adding another in the NCAA Regional-clinching victory over West Virginia (June 4 - 4-for-6, 2B, SB, RBI) ... Also had a three-RBI effort in the Regional-opening win over UMBC (June 2) ... Had six doubles in a four-game span from Apr. 26-May 7, including a career-high three against Davidson (Apr. 26) and two more in a game against Boston College (May 7) ... Both of his homers came in a three-game span, one during a four-RBI output vs. Georgia Tech (March 25) and another at App State (March 28) ... Hit .328 in ACC play and .276 in the NCAA Tournament ... Was steady with the glove, making just one error over the final 43 games, finishing with a .979 fielding percentage ...
