Walter on McCarren
"John was named a captain this year and was pitching as well as anyone on our staff at the end of last year. He commands his fastball down in the zone, has two quality off-speed pitches and doesn't walk people. He'll be in the same role as he was last year – spot starter and long relief with plenty of high-leverage innings. He's definitely a guy we want having the ball with the game on the line."
