Had a great season as the Saturday night starter ... Drafted by the Baltimore Orioles (21st round, 631st overall) in the 2014 MLB Draft ... Suffered a season-ending hand injury on April 19 against Florida State ... Had a 2.33 ERA with a 5-2 record in 10 starts ... Pitched 58.0 innings and gave up just 15 earned runs and 22 runs total ... Struck out 48 while not giving up a home run ... Made his season debut starting against Georgetown (Feb. 16) and struck out a career-high 10 batters while not giving up any runs in 6.0 innings ... Struck out five in 6.2 innings against Missouri (Feb. 22) ... Went 7.0 innings and struck out five, earning the win against Saint Louis (March 1) ... His 26 appearances are tied for the third-most by any freshman in Wake Forest history ... Finished the year with a 6.11 ERA in 28.0 innings of work, while striking out 22 batters ...
