Made his long-anticipated return to the diamond just one year after receiving a kidney transplant from head coach Tom Walter ... Played in 45 games and made 36 starts, primarily in left field for the Deacs ... Made his collegiate debut at New Mexico St. on Feb. 17, going 1-for-4 with a run scored ... Finished the year with a .224 batting average, six doubles, a home run and 14 RBIs ... Was 5-for-7 on the base paths ... Had six multi-hit games on the year, including his first-career two-hit game vs. Eastern Michigan (3/4), going 2-for-4 with a double, a walk and a run scored ... Smacked his first-career home run vs. Valparaiso (3/6) ...
