  • Freshman All-American (Collegiate Baseball)

  • The team leader in wins (10)... second in the ACC in that category... picked up four wins over teams from the 2000 NCAA tournament field... threw his first career complete game against Tennessee Tech in the NCAA Tourney, allowing just three earned runs while equaling a career-high nine strikeouts for his 10th victory of the season... beat Georgia Tech twice... once with a seven-inning performance in the ACC Tournament where he allowed just three runs on seven hits... had a streak of 12.2 scoreless innings spanning three outings against Georgia Tech, UNC Greensboro and NC State... was outstanding in back-to-back ACC outings... the first was at Georgia Tech on April 14 where he pitched his way out of two bases-loaded jams and did not allow an earned run in 2.2 innings to get the win... the second came in relief against NC State when he allowed no earned runs in five innings with four strikeouts... earned the win in relief against UNCG going 3.1 innings with three strikeouts... pitched 3.1 innings allowing five runs, four earned, on five hits with five strikeouts... earned the win vs. ASU on March 13... looked sharp against UNO on March 3 with a career-best nine strikeouts with no walks in six innings while giving up two runs... threw six solid innings while earning the victory at Liberty, striking out six... picked up the win in his collegiate debut against Penn State on February 10... allowed just three runs in 5.1 innings against Rice.
