Made 13 appearances, including 12 starts, and led the starters with a 3.50 ERA just one year after missing the entire 2012 season ... Also led all starters with five wins and a 5-3 record ... Was second on the team with 69.1 innings pitched ... Led Wake Forest with 60 strikeouts and walked just 28 batters ... Held opponents to a .290 average ... Went 7.0 innings in the season opener with nine strikeouts and combined for the shutout over Alcorn State on Feb. 15 ... Also pitched 7.0 innings and earned the win in each of his next two starts: vs. Youngstown State (Feb. 22) and vs. New Mexico State (Mar. 1) ... Had a 0.86 ERA through his first three starts ... Did not receive a decision in start at Georgia Tech (3.14), giving up four runs, two earned, on four hits in 5.2 innings with six strikeouts and four walks ...
