Demon Deacons' Baseball Suffers Tough Loss

DURHAM, N.C.-- Fueled by Demon Deacons' errors, the Florida State baseball team defeated Wake Forest 14-1 Thursday, in the third round of the ACC Tournament at Durham, North Carolina. Wake Forest committed five errors in the game and Florida State catcher Jeremy Salazar went 3-for-5 with three RBI.

Already up 6-1 in the top of the seventh inning, the Seminoles batted around for another seven runs in the inning, chasing Wake Forest starter Mike McDougall. He gave up six earned runs, on nine hits.

The lone bright spot for the Demon Deacons was center fielder Scott Daeley who went 2-for-3, and his fourth home run of the season. Wake Forest will play Georgia Tech at 11a.m. on Friday. Florida State takes on the winner of the UNC/Duke game at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
