WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) - Danny Borrell hit a three-run homer and Matt Briggs scattered eight hits to lead Wake Forest to a 13-3 victory over Richmond and the regional title.

Briggs, a junior, allowed two earned runs through 7 2-3 innings. He walked four and struck out eight.

Chase Voshell went 4-for-5 with three RBIs and Jon Palmieri had a double and two RBIs for Wake Forest (47-14).

Richmond starter Bake Leonards, one of four freshmen to pitch for the Spiders (41-17), was saddled with the loss in his first collegiate start.

Nate Rewers, Ryan Martin and G.R. Schalick drove in runs for Richmond.
