WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest will begin the season on the road for the third straight season when the Demon Deacons head to Monroe, La., to take on Alcorn State and Louisiana-Monroe on Feb. 15-17. The Deacs will play each team twice, beginning with a doubleheader on Friday.

Last Time Out
• Wake Forest ended the 2012 season with a 33-24 overall record and a 13-17 record in ACC play.
• The Demon Deacons earned a trip to the 2012 ACC Baseball Championship as the No. 7 seed, defeating NC State and falling to both North Carolina and Miami.
• The Deacs most recently played seven games in the Dominican Republic against local competition.

This Weekend's Opponent
• Alcorn State ended the 2012 season with an 18-37 overall record and a 14-10 record in the SWAC.
• Louisiana-Monroe finished the 2012 campaign with a 32-30 overall record and a 15-15 record in the Sun Belt Conference.
• The Warhawks earned a berth into the NCAA Regionals last year after winning the Sun Belt Tournament Championship.

Series History
• Wake Forest has never played Alcorn State or Louisiana-Monroe in baseball.

Next Up
• Wake Forest will return on the state of North Carolina but will remain on the road when it travels to Western Carolina on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
