Thursday's Baseball Game At Liberty Postponed Due To Inclement Weather

Feb. 21, 2001

WINSTON-SALEM, NC -- The Wake Forest baseball game scheduled for Thursday afternoon against Liberty in Lynchburg, Va., has been postponed due to inclement weather. Thursday's forecast in Lynchburg calls for snow to blanket the area. The game has been rescheduled for Monday February 26.

This is the second time this season Wake Forest and Liberty have called off a game due to weather conditions. Last week, rain washed out a contest scheduled in Winston-Salem. The makeup date for that contest is Monday April 23.

The re-scheduled game will make for a busy week that will include four games in four days. Wake Forest hosts Virginia Tech on Saturday and Sunday and goes to Liberty on Monday before coming back home to play High Point on Tuesday. Both Virginia Tech games begin at 1:30 p.m. at Hooks Stadium on the campus of Wake Forest University.
