Wake Forest Finishes Road Swing At Charlotte >>
• Wake Forest looks to wrap up a tough road stretch on a high note. This marks Wake Forest's eighth straight away game; the Demon Deacons dropped six of the first seven.

Last Time Out >>
• No. 4 Louisville claimed a sweep over the Demon Deacons, twice winning in walkoff fashion.
• On Friday, the Cardinals scored the game-winner in the bottom of the ninth with a pair of singles.
• The Deacons trailed 4-2 heading to the ninth inning of Saturday's second game. Kevin Jordan drilled a pinch-hit, go-ahead three-run blast on the first pitch he saw to put Wake Forest up, 5-4.
• However, the Cards responded in the bottom of the ninth, scoring the tying run on a wild pitch and the winning run on a straight steal of home.

Flair For The Dramatic >>
• Entering the game with four hits in 2015, Kevin Jordan's pinch-hit blast at Louisville couldn't have come at a better time.
• The Deacons had two runners aboard with two outs.
• Jordan knocked out a 98 mile-per-hour fastball from Zack Burdi, a closer who hadn't previously allowed a run in 2015.
• It was Jordan's first home run in more than two years. His last longball came on March 29, 2013 at Georgia Tech. It also marked Wake Forest's first pinch-hit homer of the season.

Series History >>
• Wake Forest leads the all-time series against Charlotte, 39-26-1.
• The Deacons won a March 24 meeting in Winston-Salem, 8-6. In that game, a trio of freshmen knocked in all eight runs. Justin Yurchak had a homer and two RBIs, Bruce Steel had two doubles and three RBIs, and Gavin Sheets cleared the bases on his first-carer double.
• The home team has won five straight meetings in the series.

Hammond's Homecoming >>
• Assistant coach Joey Hammond makes his return to Charlotte, where he played from 1996-98.
• He is entrenched in the 49er record book, as one of just three players in program history to total 100 hits in a season.
• He's in the program's all-time top 10 in triples and runs despite having played there just three season before being drafted in 1998.

On Deck >>
• The Deacons return home for their first home game in almost three weeks, playing host to Notre Dame from Friday-Sunday. Saturday and Sunday's games will air on ESPN3.
