Wake Forest Summer League Update - June 18

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - All of the summer collegiate baseball leagues are now underway. Here's a look at how current Wake Forest baseball players are faring in summer ball.
Cape Cod Summer League Outfielder Steven Brooks has played in five games with Chatham and is hitting .250 with three RBIs and a run scored. Brooks is tied for the team lead in doubles (2) and stolen bases (2). Brooks is slugging .417 on the summer and has a .438 on-base percentage. Brooks had the eventual game-winning two RBI double in Chatham's first win of the summer.
Pitcher Michael Dimock has a 1-0 record with a 0.00 ERA for the Bourne Braves, making two relief appearances. Dimock has given up one unearned run and two hits in 3 1/3 innings. Dimock earned his first win of the summer on June 16 against Falmouth, tossing three innings and allowing a hit and an unearned run and striking out three batters.
Infielder Shane Kroker has played in four games with Hyannis and is batting .200 with an RBI and a run scored. Kroker led the team with two hits in a loss to Chatham on June 13.
Catcher Mike Murray is hitting .333 in two games played for Chatham. Murray has an on-base percentage of .429 through two games, with a .333 slugging percentage.
New England Collegiate Baseball League Infielder/outfielder Carlos Lopez has started eight games for the New Bedford Bay Sox. Lopez is batting .235 with an RBI. Lopez is tied for the team lead with five runs scored and also has two doubles.
Catcher Ian Tomkins has started eight games for the Newport Gulls and is hitting a team-high .379 with four RBIs. Tomkins has a team-high 11 hits and has posted a .414 slugging percentage and a .419 on-base percentage. Tomkins went 3-for-4 in a victory over North Shore on June 15.
Coastal Plain League Outfielder Micah Jarrett has played in five games for Gastonia and is hitting .273 with an RBI and a run scored. Jarrett is 2-for-3 in stolen bases and has a .333 on-base percentage.
Pitcher Ryan McGrath has made seven relief appearances for Wilmington and has an 0-1 record and a save with a 0.00 ERA. McGrath has allowed three unearned runs on five hits in 7 1/3 innings. He has struck out six, while walking just one, and opponents are only hitting .192 against him.
Florida Collegiate Summer League Pitcher Ryan Bouton has appeared in five games with the Clermont Mavericks and has an 0-0 record with a 21.21 ERA. Bouton has thrown 4 2/3 innings, giving up 14 runs, 11 of them earned, on nine hits.
Infielder Bentley Heyman started two games for Clermont and hit .500 with a run scored. Heyman was a perfect 2-for-2 in stolen bases. He has returned to Wake Forest for the remainder of the summer to rehab an injury.
Outfielder Ryan Semeniuk has played in nine games, including six starts, for Clermont. Semeniuk is hitting .167 with two RBIs and three runs scored.
Cal Ripken, Sr. Collegiate Baseball League Pitcher Gabe Feldman has started two games for the Bethesda Big Train and is 1-0 with a 2.45 ERA. Feldman is tied for the team high with 11 innings pitched and has given up four runs, three of them earned, on eight hits. Feldman has struck out 10 and walked three batters.
Great South Collegiate Baseball League Pitcher Mark Adzick has appeared in two games, including one start, with Kernersville and is 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA. Adzick has only allowed two hits and no runs in seven innings and has struck out 12 batters. Opponents are hitting .105 against Adzick.
Pitcher Brandon Johnson is 2-0 with a 2.31 ERA in three appearances, including two starts, with Kernersville. Johnson has pitched 11 2/3 innings, allowing three runs on 10 hits. Johnson has struck out 18 and walked just one.
Outfielder Ryan Lloyd has hit three home runs for the Newnan Braves. He recently hit his third home run of the summer in a 10-5 victory over the Cobb Premier Stars.
Pitcher Eli Robins has made one appearance for Kernersville and is 0-0 with a 9.00 ERA. Robins allowed a run in the only inning he has pitched during the summer.
