Deacon Baseball Players Selected to Cape Cod League All-Star Team

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest pitcher David Bush and centerfielder Cory Sullivan were named to the All-Star Team of the prestigious Cape Cod League in Massachusetts. The All-Stars will face a USA Select Team on Saturday in Chatham, Mass., in a game to be replayed by ESPN2 this weekend.

Bush, who will be a junior in 2001, has a 1.04 earned run average in 15 games and is tied for second in the league with eight saves while pitching for Chatham.

Sullivan is tied for the league lead in runs batted in (21) and leads the league in triples (3) and is third in hits (40). The senior-to-be has 10 steals and his .301 average is eighth in the league.
