The Tony Hanson File:
Tony Hanson spent five seasons on the Wake Forest basketball staff, serving as the team videographer. Hanson was responsible for coordinating the exchange of scouting tape and the filming of games and practices, editing game film for breakdown, supervising daily video needs, updating recruiting databases and assisting in the daily operations of the basketball program. Hanson is a 2005 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He played two seasons of junior varsity basketball for the Tar Heels. In 2002-03, Hanson played under Doug Wojcik who is now the head coach at Tulsa and who also played for Skip Prosser and Dino Gaudio at Wheeling (W.Va.) Central Catholic High School. Hanson also played for current North Carolina assistant coach Jerod Haase in 2003-04. Hanson graduated from UNC with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Management and Society and with a minor in Exercise and Sports Science. He is currently seeking a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies degree from Wake Forest and is expected to finish the program in the spring of 2009. As an undergraduate in 2004-05, Hanson spent one season as as assistant basketball coach at Apex High School in Apex, N.C., helping lead the team to a 27-3 record. A native of Wilmington, N.C., Hanson attended John T. Hoggard High School. He played two years of varsity basketball for the Vikings. |
