Former Demon Deacon guard Mike Lepore spent three seasons on the Wake Forest basketball staff from 2009-12, serving as the program's Director of Scouting/Recruiting. Lepore also served as the Assistant Coordinator of Operations and Team Videographer during his tenure.
In his most recent role, Lepore was responsible for assisting with the planning and execution of unofficial and official recruiting visits, coordinating AAU event schedules, maintaining recruiting depth charts for future seasons, creating and sending mailouts to the team's recruit database and keeping and updating team efficiency stats throughout the season.
Previously, Lepore served as the program's Assistant Coordinator of Operations during his first season on staff in 2009-10 and as the Team Videographer for two seasons from 2011-12.
In his previous roles, Lepore was responsible for assisting with team travel, meals, scheduling and other logistics within the basketball office. As Team Videographer, he was also responsible for the exchange of scouting tape and the filming of games and practices, editing game film for breakdown and supervising the staff's daily video needs.
Lepore earned four letters as a walk-on with the Deacons from 2006-09. He played in 19 games during his career, including 10 contests as a senior in 2008-09. Lepore played for two seasons each under Skip Prosser and Dino Gaudio.
"I'm really excited to be back at Wake Forest. It's a place where I had a great four years," said Lepore upon his hiring in September of 2009. "I realized that I wanted to get back involved with the program and get started into coaching, and I'm grateful for this opportunity. Just being around the school and the program is an honor, and I'm really happy to be back. I have a strong willingness to learn and do whatever it takes to help this team succeed."
A native of Flemington, N.J., Lepore graduated from Wake Forest in May of 2009 with a degree in finance. He was four-time member of the ACC Academic Honor Roll during his playing career.
