Wake Forest Head Coach Danny Manning
Opening Statement...
"I thought Clemson did a very good job of executing their offense. Marcquise Reed, Gabe DeVoe and Shelton Mitchell are a very talented trio. Reed and DeVoe go 22 and 24 and they made some other big plays. We need to do a better job of being there on the catch and contesting shots. I thought we did some pretty good things in the second half in terms of taking care of the basketball. When they threw their zone at us, I don't know if we got stagnant, but we got some looks and just couldn't hit some shots. We missed a couple of shots in front of our bench on the baseline and we missed a couple 3s. I thought for us in the first half we broke down offensively too many times and that really hurt us. Then we got the ball where we wanted it and we had at least five missed layups that came back to haunt us."

On Clemson’s Marcquise Reed and Gabe Devoe…
"They were able to create separation. We didn't do things that we needed to do to give more resistance to them. That's just something that we've got to continue to get better at. Those guys just created too much separation coming off the baseline, and we were not able to turn the corner."

On the performance of the Wake Forest bench...
"I thought our bench did a good job with 31 points. Keyshawn Woods was Keyshawn in regard to scoring the basketball. Donovan Mitchell made some good plays in terms of scoring the basketball. Olivier Sarr was active in scoring the ball as well as rebounding. When we can get 31 points of production from our bench, we are always happy with that kind of production."

Clemson Head Coach Brad Brownell
On Gabe DeVoe…
“He’s playing at his highest level for sure. He made some shots out there today, and as an older guy, he needs to do that for us as a team to do this well. I thought his efficiency on offense was really good and helped us when we were trying to get the rest of the team going”.

On David Skara down the stretch…
“He did some good things defensively. We ask him do a lot in terms of guarding different people. He had an unlucky shot early in the game that I thought was going to drop for him and had a great shot towards the end there that I love that he took. He played 11 or 12 minutes and played really well for us”.

On today’s backcourt…
“We knew we had to make plays on the perimeter with Doral Moore in there. It wasn’t going to be quite as easy to just throw it in there to Elijah Thomas and score a bunch. I thought he really had to fight hard today and because of that it really opened up a couple other things for us to do.”
