Wake Forest Head Coach Danny Manning
Opening Statement...
"It's nice to get a mark in the column that we want. I thought Georgia Tech came out and were under-manned and thought they played exceptionally hard. I thought Josh Pastner had them ready to go, and I thought Josh Okogie got off to a really good start. We really couldn't keep him down until he started picking up fouls. They had other guys who I thought also played exceptionally well. We just tried to throw a lot of bodies at them, wear them down and try to push the tempo. I thought it worked out well in that regard, but defensively we need to better as they shot around 50% in both halves."

On the comfortable win...
"The most rewarding thing about this win was to see our scout team guys get in, because they've been working hard everyday in practice and do a good job in helping us prepare us for all of our opponents. So to get to see them get in and get some time on the court was a very satisfying feeling."

On looking forward in the schedule...
"All I know is we play NC State next, and that's my mindset. I don't know much about them because we've been working on Georgia Tech, but I'll start looking at them tonight. The biggest thing I remember about them is that they're going to come out, push tempo and be aggressive. We have to make sure that we make ourselves available, attack pressure and don't settle for long jump shots and make sure to push the ball into the paint."

Georgia Tech Head Coach Josh Pastner
Opening Statement...
"I have to give Wake Forest credit. They played very well tonight. Seventeen assists on 29 made field goals for them deserves credit. They played well. Defensively, we weren't really good again. We did really well last year defensively. We were an elite team defensively last year. For a long stretch this year we were pretty good defensively but the last few weeks we have struggled. We have not been good defensively. We need to get the personal accountability to stop guys. We'll work on it and get better. We have another opportunity Saturday. We need to get off this losing streak, this rut that we're in to get some wins. We just need to find a way to get some wins."

On sophonmore guard Josh Okogie...
"Josh is our point guard, our 2-guard and our 3-guard. It's just been a little tough. He wasn't real efficient-- 20 points but on 13 shots. One of our Achilles's Heels this season has been the injury bug. We lost Jose Alvarado and then Curtis Haywood II who is really, really good. He got injured and had to sit for the year. Ben Lammers is playing well but on a bum ankle. Hopefully next time Josh will play better at the point guard position. Aside from 3-point shooting, this game comes down to a nine turnover-differential."
