Wake Forest Head Coach Jeff Bzdelik

On the game against Brevard...
"It was a good way to get our feet wet, so to speak, in front of the crowd. There were a lot of good things and things we need to work on."

On fifth-year guard Coron Williams...
"He can shoot the basketball. He's quick. He's got a quick release, and he's confident. It's good to see him get accustomed to the Joel."

On the play of the defense...
"We have quickness, and we have depth. We just need to clean it up a little bit. They were a really good team for us to play just because of the way they run their offense. They're very disciplined. They're always cutting and they can shoot the basketball. It was good for us because you can't chase people; you have to defend people late and deep into the shot clock. So it will test your defensive discipline."

On areas in which the team needs to improve...
"We need to talk better defensively. We can't take possessions off. All five guys have to defend every possession. All five guys are involved in the offense on every possession. We need to run the court with all five guys. We need the maturity to stay involved on every possession--everybody."

Redshirt Senior Guard Coron Williams

On his performance tonight...
"I feel great right now. As a team we still have a ways to go, but we'll get better after this week. Personally, I did pretty well. I had some shots there that I kind of forced in the second half, but that won't happen during the year. I probably won't be getting those looks throughout the year. We've got a lot of work to do defensively, and we've got to perfect some things on offense. We'll be much sharper next Friday."

On being a vocal leader...
"They brought me here to bring some leadership and to bring some experience and it would be selfish of me to be quiet out there. I have to let these young cats know how it is, how we're supposed to play this game."
