Wake Forest and Davidson Announce Upcoming Series

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Wake Forest men’s basketball team announced Tuesday (March 27) an upcoming series with Davidson. The Demon Deacons and Wildcats will play during the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons.

The first game of the series will be December 17, 2018 at the LJVM Coliseum. The teams will meet again during the 2019-20 season at the Spectrum Center, home of the NBA’s Charlotte Hornets.

The Demon Deacons and Wildcats have met 84 times in the series which dates back to 1909, but haven’t played since the 1999-00 season. Wake Forest leads the series 61-23, including a 5-0 record at the LJVM Coliseum. Davidson won the last meeting, 54-49 in overtime on February 2, 2000 at Belk Arena on the Davidson campus, snapping a 19-game Wake Forest win streak in the series.
