Manning to Appear on TBS Final Four Pregame Show

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Wake Forest head coach Danny Manning will appear on Saturday’s Final Four pregame coverage on TBS. Manning will appear during the first hour of coverage, airing from 3-4 p.m. ET.

At the Final Four presented by Infiniti will lead off Saturday’s coverage and air live from a studio at the Riverwalk outside of the Alamodome. Greg Gumbel will host alongside analysts who have all led their team to a national title. Manning will be joined by Candace Parker, Christian Laettner and Kris Jenkins on the panel.

This year’s Final Four marks the 30th anniversary of Kansas’ 1988 NCAA Championship. Manning led the Jayhawks, who were a No. 6 seed in the tournament, to the title during his senior season. The 1988 Final Four Most Outstanding Player, Manning had 31 points, 18 rebounds, five steals and two blocks in the 83-79 victory over Oklahoma in the championship game.

This year’s Final Four marks the first time the event has been in San Antonio in 10 years. The last time the Alamodome hosted the Final Four, Kansas won the 2008 NCAA Championship with Manning on the bench as an assistant coach.
