WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Hoops Academy at Wake Forest University will host four summer camps for area youth during the month of June. All camps will be run by the Demon Deacon men's basketball staff.

The camp lineup kicks off with Elite Camp on June 2. This camp is open to participants entering grades 9-12 in the fall 2012 on a fist-come first-serve basis regardless of skill level.

The Hoops Academy will celebrate Father's Day weekend with its annual Father-Son Camp June 15-16. Fathers and sons (entering grades 1-12 in the fall) will compete together, and the sons will have the opportunity to compete in 5-on-5 team games.

Day Camp is scheduled for June 18-21 and is open to campers entering grades 1-8 this fall. There will be a morning session for grades 1-4 and an afternoon session for grades 5-8.

The Hoops Academy will wrap up its 2012 offerings with Overnight Camp June 24-27. This camp is open to participants entering grades 4-12 this fall and offers campers a chance to spend several days living on the Wake Forest campus. A commuter option is also available for this camp.

The Wake Forest men's basketball coaching staff will oversee all apects of the basketball camps. Wake Forest assistant coaches will conduct lectures for the camp, often incorporating drills with current Wake players.

In addition to the Wake Forest basketball staff, high school coaches and college players from all over the country will be at camp, instructing and coaching the campers. Former and current players also speak to the camp and sign autographs when available.

All camps will be run in the Wake Forest team's state-of-the-art practice facility (Miller Center) and the campus recreation building (Reynolds Gymnasium). The Elite, Father-Son and Overnight campers are served all-you-can-eat meals in the campus cafeteria.
