Howard, Smith to Host Legends Basketball Classic

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Former Wake Forest basketball greats Josh Howard and Ishmael Smith will host the inaugural Legends Basketball Classic on Saturday, June 28, at the Coliseum Annex in Winston-Salem.
Howard and Smith will lead a team of former Demon Deacons as they take on a team of former NCAA players.
Doors will open at 3 p.m. with the game set to tip off at 4 p.m. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster or at the door. All proceeds will benefit the Josh Howard Foundation and the Ishmael Smith Foundation.
Howard, the 2003 ACC Player of the Year, is a 10-year NBA veteran and a native of Winston-Salem. Howard led the Deacons to the 2003 ACC regular season title and was named the national player of the year by a number of publications.
Smith finished up his fourth season in the NBA and his first with the Phoenix Suns in 2013-14. A second team All-ACC selection in 2009-10, Smith is the only player in Wake Forest history with 1,000 career points, 500 career assists and 400 career rebounds.
