WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest men's basketball player Jamie Skeen will not be with the Demon Deacon team during the fall semester, as announced by head coach Dino Gaudio on Tuesday. Skeen has been suspended by the University due to a violation of academic policy.

"Jamie is an outstanding young man with much to contribute to Wake Forest, both on the basketball court and to the University," said Gaudio. "However, sometimes good people make poor decisions, and that is what happened here. Hopefully this will be a learning experience for the young man that will help him grow as a person."

Skeen, who recently completed his sophomore season at Wake Forest, is a two-year letterwinner for the Deacons. In 2007-08, the forward from Charlotte saw action in 29 games with six starts. Skeen averaged 5.6 points and 4.1 rebounds per game.
