Wake Forest Basketball Announces Non-Conference Schedule

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Wake Forest men's basketball team announced its 2018-19 non-conference schedule Friday (June 29), which includes seven home games at the LJVM Coliseum.

Television broadcast designations and tip-off times have not been set yet and will be announced by the ACC at a later date, along with the conference schedule.

The Demon Deacons will have seven non-conference home games, beginning with the season-opener against North Carolina A&T on Nov. 10. The Deacs end November with a pair of home games, hosting Houston Baptist on Nov. 23 and Western Carolina on Nov. 27. December’s home schedule consists of three games against in-state opponents, continuing a series with Charlotte on Dec. 6, hosting Atlantic 10 champion Davidson on Dec. 17 and Gardner-Webb on Dec. 29. Wake Forest will conclude the non-conference schedule on Jan. 2 by hosting Cornell.

The home schedule also includes a preseason exhibition on Nov. 2 against Division II Belmont Abbey.

The road portion of the non-conference schedule is highlighted with the inaugural Myrtle Beach Invitational, held Nov. 15-18 in Conway, S.C. The Demon Deacons are joined in the field by Cal State Fullerton, Monmouth, Saint Joseph’s, UCF, Valparaiso, West Virginia and Western Kentucky, with the tournament bracket to be announced later this summer.

Wake Forest will play a pair of true road games in December, visiting Richmond on Dec. 1 and Tennessee on Dec. 22.

The conference schedule will be announced by the ACC at a later date. The Demon Deacons will have home games against Boston College, Duke, Florida State, Louisville, Miami, North Carolina, NC State, Pitt and Syracuse. Wake Forest will travel to Clemson, Duke, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Miami, NC State, Notre Dame, Virginia and Virginia Tech.
