MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Wake Forest will play Saint Joseph’s in the first round of the inaugural Myrtle Beach Invitational on Thursday, Nov. 15, at the HTC Center on the campus of Coastal Carolina. The bracket for the eight-team tournament was announced Wednesday (July 11).

The Wake Forest-Saint Joseph’s game is one of four games on the opening day of the tournament. Tipoff will be 11:30 a.m. and the game will be televised on ESPNU.

The Demon Deacons and Hawks have not met since the 2004 NCAA Sweet 16, an 84-80 Saint Joseph’s win in East Rutherford, N.J. The teams haven’t met during the regular season since 1982-83 when the Demon Deacons posted an 85-65 victory at the Holiday Festival at Madison Square Garden.

The winner of the Wake Forest-Saint Joseph’s game will play the winner of an opening round game between Cal State Fullerton and UCF in the tournament semifinals on Nov. 16.

Other opening round games are Valparaiso vs. Western Kentucky and West Virginia vs. Monmouth.
