Three Deacs Named to NABC Honors Court

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Three members of the Wake Forest men’s basketball team were honored by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Tuesday (July 17), as the organization announced the 2017-18 Honors Court. Britton Anderson, Troy Rike and Aaron Spivey were recognized for their accomplishments in the classroom.

To be named to the NABC Honors Court, a player must be a junior or senior academically, have at least a 3.2 cumulative grade-point-average, have been enrolled at their current school for at least one year and have a coach who is a member of the NABC.

Anderson was honored for the second time and graduated this past spring with a degree in finance. Rike, who earned a degree in business and enterprise management, also was recognized for the second time. Spivey, a junior economics major, was honored for the first time.

The three Demon Deacons were among 248 Division I players that were honored by the NABC. Wake Forest’s three selections were the most among ACC schools.
