KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Three members of the Wake Forest men’s basketball team were honored by the National Association of Basketboall Coaches (NABC) Tuesday (July 18), as the organization announced the 2016-17 Honors Court. Britton Anderson, Troy Rike and Trent VanHorn were recognized for their accomplishments in the classroom.

To be named to the NABC Honors Court, a player must be a junior or senior academically, have at least a 3.2 cumulative grade-point-average, have been enrolled at their current school for at least one year and have a coach who is a member of the NABC.

VanHorn was honored for the second time and graduated this past spring with a degree in biology. Anderson, a finance major, and Rike, a business and enterprise management major, were honored for the first time and are entering their senior seasons with the Demon Deacons.

The three Demon Deacons were among 263 Division I players that were honored by the NABC. Wake Forest’s three selections were the most among ACC schools.
