Josh Howard to Host 6th Annual Celebrity Event in Winston-Salem

This year, his Celebrity Weekend has been extended to "The Josh Howard Celebrity "Week" with impactful, empowering & engaging activities for ALL to enjoy. The Josh Howard Celebrity Flag Football Game will feature celebrity and athlete guests including the city's very own Honorable Mayor Joines, Council Member Derwin Montgomery and Council Member James Taylor. Also, Actor in Tyler Perry's Good Deeds - Brian White, NBA's Trevor Booker, 76ers' Arnette Moultrie, NFL's Adalius Thomas, NBA's Josh Powell, NBA's Lamarcus Aldridge, NBA's Terence Kinsey, Wake Forest's Randolph Childress & Tony Rutland, Atlanta Hawk's Devin Harris, Comedian & Wild N'Out's Spanky Hayes, TV-show-The Game's Hosea Chanchez & Drew Sidora, VH1 Guycode's Alesha Renee, Hollywood Exes' Andrea Kelly, The Bernie Mac Show's Kellita Smith, Soul Food's Vanessa Williams, Football Wives' Chanita Foster, NFL's Yancey Thigpen and more. ABOUT THE YOUNG LADIES EMPOWERMENT CONFERENCE This three-day conference, just one initiative taking place out of several during the Josh Howard Celebrity Week, will begin on Wednesday, August 1, and commence on Friday, August 3, on the campus of Salem Academy & Salem College. This empowering conference will allow young ladies, (grades 9 - grades 12), to learn from successful professionals, entrepreneurs & leaders the strategies & principles of success in the business world. Each of our bright participants will further develop their overall business acumen through participation in activities such as creating a mock business plan, preparing & working their elevator speeches, team-building, and more. Furthermore, other topics addressed will be self-image, bullying, cyber bullying, physical health & wellness, media literacy and charm sessions that include skin care, character building, manners and wardrobe. Participants will also connect with community leaders such as Judge Camille Banks-Payne, Judge in Forsyth County NC District Court; Doris Páez, Ph.D, Executive Director of Forsyth futures; Kirsten Royster, Forsyth Medical Center's Vice President of cardiac and women's services; Lisa Caldwell, SVP Human Resources at Reynolds American and several others. Representatives from the Trinity Center, the Forsyth County Health Department, Forsyth Medical Center and other locations will be coming in to share important information. And last but not least, the participants will be inspired at their finale luncheon by Celebrity Keynote Speakers, "Vanessa Williams", (best known for her character on Soul Food), and Kellita Smith, (best known for her character on the Bernie Mac Show).
