The game, which was previously announced, will air on ESPNU at 9:15 p.m. The Deacons posted a dramatic 55-53 win over the Cornhuskers last season in Lincoln, as C.J. Harris scored the game-winning layup in the final seconds. Wake Forest will play its first true road game of the season on Saturday, Dec. 1, at Richmond. The Deacons and Spiders have a longtime rivalry that dates back to the 1920-21 season. Wake Forest leads the series, 38-11, and has won 17 of the past 19 meetings. Wake Forest and Furman have not met on the hardwood since the 1995-96 season in Winston-Salem. The Deacons are 14-7 all-time against the Paladins with the series dating back to 1927. Wake Forest will get a preview of the Greensboro Coliseum, site of the 2013 ACC Tournament, when the Deacons play at Triad-rival UNC Greensboro on Saturday, Dec. 22. Wake is 6-0 all-time against UNCG, which includes a win in Greensboro in 2009-10. The Deacons will enjoy a 10-day break for the holidays before wrapping up their non-conference slate against Xavier in the Skip Prosser Classic on Wednesday, Jan. 2. Wake Forest will play one exhibition game prior to the regular season when the Deacons host Rollins College on Friday, Nov. 2. The teams actually met six times during the regular season from 1974-86 with the Deacons winning all six matchups. Five of the meetings came in Winston-Salem and one (1982-83) in Winter Park, Fla.
