Devin Thomas Undergoes Minor Knee Surgery
Sept. 11, 2012
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest freshman forward Devin Thomas had minor knee surgery on Tuesday afternoon. Thomas is expected to miss 4-6 weeks but make a full recovery for the 2012-13 season.
The arthroscopic procedure cleaned up loose fragments in Thomas' knee. The procedure was performed at the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center by team physician Dr. David Martin.
"This was a routine procedure to remove some loose cartilage fragments from Devin's knee," said Martin. "We wanted to be proactive with this to get him ready for the season."
Wake Forest opens the regular season on Friday, Nov. 9, at home against Radford.
