DEACS MAKE 2017-18 DEBUT AGAINST QUEENS
• Wake Forest opens its season by hosting Queens in a preseason exhibition
• The game is the final preseason test for the Demon Deacons before opening the regular season next week against Georgia Southern
• Queens is ranked No. 2 in the preseason NABC Division II coaches poll
• The Royals, who went 30-4 last season, won their preseason exhibition in 2016-17 at VCU

• First meeting between the schools (preseason or regular season)
• Wake Forest played a closed door scrimmage against Georgia in 2015-16 at Queens’ Curry Arena

EXHIBITION HISTORY
• Wake Forest has won its preseason exhibition every year since 2004-05 (when the NCAA made exhibition games be against non-Division I opponents)
• Last season the Demon Deacons defeated Piedmont International 118-48 in their exhibition
• The last time the Deacs played a nationally-ranked Division II opponent in an exhibition was in 2015-16 when Wake Forest downed UNC Pembroke 86-64

MEET THE DEACS
• Wake Forest returns 12 letterwinners from last year’s squad that went 19-14 and made the program’s first NCAA Tournament appearance in seven years
• The Demon Deacons return two starters, guards Bryant Crawford and Keyshawn Woods
• Three other players return who played over 250 minutes last season (Mitchell Wilbekin, Brandon Childress, Doral Moore)
• The roster also includes five newcomers, four freshman (Chaundee Brown, Melo Eggleston, Olivier Sarr, Sunday Okeke) and graduate transfer Terrence Thompson, who played the last two seasons at Marshall

UP NEXT
• The Demon Deacons open the regular season next Friday by hosting Georgia Southern
• Game time is 7:30 p.m. and the game will be broadcast online by ACC Network Extra
• The game is the annual LJVM Classic which honors the military with free tickets to active military, veterans and their families
