WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - In honor of Veteran's Day on November 12, Wake Forest will celebrate veterans and active duty personnel at the Demon Deacon basketball game vs. Radford on Friday, November 9 at 7 p.m. at the Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

U.S. veterans of any military service branch or active duty military personnel and their immediate families will receive free admission to the game. Veterans or their family representatives can come to the Wake Forest ticket office, located at Bridger Field House, between 8:30 am - 5 pm to pick up tickets or go to the Joel Coliseum on game night where Wake Forest will be distributing tickets at a table outside the entrance. Military I.D. must be presented to receive tickets.

Veterans and their families can also gain free admission to the Wake Forest women's basketball game against Coppin State on Sunday, Nov. 11, at 2 p.m.

In addition to providing free tickets, Wake Forest will recognize veterans and military personnel with a PA announcement during Friday evening's game. A representative of the military's Wounded Warrior Project also will be present at the game to accept Wake Forest's community service award.

"Supplying free tickets is an opportunity for Wake Forest basketball to thank our country's military heroes," Wake Forest assistant athletic director for marketing and promotions Mike Odom said. "We're incredibly proud to pay tribute to veterans, active duty personnel and their families, all of whom have made great contributions to our country in the name of freedom and democracy around the globe."
