WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest will open the 2012 Ezybonds U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam on Friday against No. 23-ranked Connecticut in St. Thomas.
Tip is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET at the UVI Sports and Fitness Center.

Friday's game with UConn will be televised on the CBS Sports Network. Kevin Eschenfelder (play-by-play), Larry Conley (color) and Kristen Kenney (sidelines) will call the action.
The game can be heard on the Wake Forest IMG College Sports Network and online at WakeForestSports.com. Matt Chazanow (play-by-play) and Mark Freidinger (color) have the call.
Last Time Out
Wake Forest is coming off a 79-67 win over Radford last Friday in Winston-Salem. Six Demon Deacons scored in double figures, and Wake Forest shot 63.6 percent from the floor to earn the season-opening victory.
The Deacons made 11 of their first 13 shots and 28 of 44 overall to post the 14th-best field goal percentage in school history and the highest since shooting 64.2 percent vs. Georgia Tech in the 2007 ACC Tournament.
C.J. Harris led Wake Forest with 19 points, while Travis McKie fell just shy of a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds. Devin Thomas debuted with 10 points and eight boards in the win.
The Last Meeting
December 2, 1991
No. 23-ranked Connecticut (2-0) is coming off a 67-49 win over Vermont on Tuesday in Storrs. Shabazz Napier, the Huskies' leading scorer on the season with 19.0 ppg, led UConn with 13 points.
Connecticut opened the season with a 66-62 win over then-No. 14 Michigan State on Nov. 9 at the Ramstein Air Base in Germany.
Wake Forest and UConn have split their previous two meetings. The Deacons won 103-77 on Dec. 29, 1969 at the Quaker City Tournament in Philadelphia. The Huskies evened the series with an 84-75 win on Dec. 2, 1991 in Hartford as part of the ACC/Big East Challenge.
Wake Forest will face either Iona or Quinnipiac in the second round of the Paradise Jam. The winner's bracket game is on Sunday, Nov. 18, at 9 p.m. ET, while the loser's bracket game is on Saturday, Nov. 17, at 5 p.m. ET.
The winner's bracket game on Sunday will be televised on the CBS Sports Network. All other games will be streamed on the Paradise Jam website.
The Deacons have never faced Iona or Quinnipiac previously. Wake Forest is 8-2 all-time against schools beginning with the letter "I" and has never faced a "Q" school.
In its third and final game at the tournament, Wake Forest will play George Mason, Mercer, New Mexico or UIC on Monday, Nov. 19.
