With Chris Paul and Josh Howard remaining on the sidelines with ankle injuries, it has been a quiet week for many of the Demon Deacons in the National Basketball Association.

One former Wake Forest standout who did not have a quiet week was Tim Duncan of the San Antonio Spurs. He has averaged 20.8 points and 11 rebounds over his last four games. He is atop the league averaging 12.5 defensive rebounds per 48 minutes.

Last night, Duncan totaled 24 points with 12 rebounds in the win against Milwaukee. With 16 points, nine rebounds and a season-high seven assists, Duncan helped lead the Spurs to a 22-point victory against the Wizards. He had 21 points and nine rebounds at Utah on Nov. 19. Last Wednesday, Duncan netted 22 points with 14 rebounds and a season-high four blocks at Dallas.

Darius Songaila has totaled six points in the last three Hornets' contests. Last Thursday against Phoenix, Songaila totaled season highs in minutes played (24), rebounds (7) and steals (3).

James Johnson has seen more playing time this week for the Chicago Bulls. As announced by head coach Vinny Del Negro, Johnson now will only see time as a small forward. He had his highest single-game marks with eight points, three field goals made and five field goals attempted on Nov. 19.

Jeff Teague has played 15 minutes this week for the Atlanta Hawks, combining for four assists.
